Within the CYBER SECURE LIGHT project, its partners so also ELCA, offer free SME-focused assistance experience and technology transfer know-how to provide wide-ranging mentoring services to support companies in enhancing their market opportunities and innovation capacities by enabling their access to IoT and lighting technologies within the Cybersecurity domain.
To this end, the Cyber Secure Light Consortium launched the selection process to individuate the innovative and market promising business pilot cooperation initiatives and technology transfer projects set out between complementary companies and companies and technology centres – potential beneficiaries of the CSL services!

What we offer
SMEs from the selected “pilot projects” will be offered customized assistance to assess the investment readiness of the proposed business idea and its bankability, as well as the opportunity to meet potential investments and support in preparing elevator pitches and defining business agreement and IPR issues. For companies interested in technology transfer, the consortium offers the possibility to find the most suitable technology provider and/or research centre and to define the pilot technology transfer concept, methodology and timing.
Moreover, the specific focus will be given to breeding investments and funding opportunities for all the selected pilot projects. In fact, the Cyber Secure Light services will include a screening of the most suitable EU and national funding prospects (calls for proposals) for each selected pilot project as well as the opportunity to introduce it to the private investors.

Selection process
The selection process will last until the 10th of February 2020, and it is open to all companies members of the Cyber Secure Light partners and their affiliates.
Information on the selection process and the related application documentation (Expression of Interest and guidelines) are on the CYBER SECURE LIGHT website.

USER REQUIREMENTS WORKSHOP FOR A PORTAL ON INDUSTRIAL MODERNISATION AND ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES

Brussels, 23 May 2019

The European Commission Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW) is currently developing a new online platform to improve the analysis and systematic monitoring of industrial modernisation and advanced technologies in Europe.

Marta Krakowiak from ELCA, upon the direct invitation from the European Commission’s DG GROW, participated in a workshop in the context of this new European online platform that will inform policymakers, industry representatives and academia on developments related to Industrial Modernisation and Advanced Technologies. During the workshop, ELCA had the opportunity to share ideas and views on the platform content and visual settings by providing direct input to the DG GROW officials and platform developers.

Moreover, ELCA networked with key stakeholders and peers coming from important organisations as Euro Commerce, European-level federation of Europe’s technology industries, national and regional innovation agencies, European DIGITAL SME Alliance, European Association of Development Agencies (EURADA), Business Europe network and many European ICT and digital clusters representatives.

In the next months, ELCA will participate in the follow-up activities to support DG GROW in the definition of the portal.

Comments Off on ELCA member of EREK!

As of today, ELCA is a Member of EREK European Resource Efficiency Knowledge Center.

EREK is a European network of business support organisations working together to promote resource efficiency among SMEs. The concept of resource efficiency is fairly straightforward: substantial economic benefits can be achieved through improved management of resources (energy, water, waste, etc.). Its basic line of argument is that sustainability can be profitable to even the smallest companies. Our working principle is to ensure that these companies have access to information which will ease and inspire their transition to resource efficiency.

Such information includes real-life good practices examples of what other companies have already done, return investment experiences, information on organisations which can provide financial assistance, news and events happening in the European resource efficiency community, etc.
